What Do You Do With My Personal Information?

We keep it secret, and keep it safe. We promise that your information will only be used to send you newsletters, concert announcements and band related information, and we will never give your personal details or email address to companies, spammers, children under the age seven or even our grandmothers. Your information is safe with us.

What Is Your Music Usage Policy?

All songs and video hosted on this site and created by December’s Insurgency are available for your use according to the terms set out in the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 2.5 Canada License. This license only applies to songs and videos that we have made! It does not apply to cover songs or videos that we put up or link to.

Creative Commons License

December’s Insurgency Music by December’s Insurgency is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 2.5 Canada License

What does the Creative Commons license mean?

  • No Commercial Use – Please don’t use our songs to make money without asking us first! We are poor artists that just love music. Don’t steal from us.
  • Attribution – If you put our music up somewhere just include a link to this site and we’ll be happy! Give us a shout out, and let us know that you did! You scratch our backs, we scratch yours.
  • Share Alike – Any remix, mashup, wedding singer version of the song that you create has to be shared under the same type of license that we shared it under.

Following these rules is a kind and courteous way for us to not sue you…if we had the money to do that…

Make sure you read all the rules of this Creative Commons License if you are confused before you use our music. If you have any questions, you can always send us a quick email, and we’ll answer your questions.

If you would like to use our music in any political or social campaign please contact us before you do so.

Can I Share Your Music (MP3 Files)?

YES. The Creative Commons License still applies, but as long as you don’t change the ID3 tags on the music, you can use any P2P method that you please. So go ahead and email the songs to your friends, host torrents, and generally pirate the crap out of our music! (Just don’t pirate for profit ;) )

Can I Use Your Music In A Podcast?

YES. Internet radio is okay too. Just remember the Creative Commons License!

What about my student/amateur film? Can I use your music there too?

The same terms that apply to podcasting and internet radio above also apply to student and amateur film projects. If you get lucky and land a big-money distribution deal, please contact us about commercial licensing (see below).

Do You Guys Do Commercial Licensing?

If you want to use our music in a commercial work, including television, radio, professional film, advertisements or any other kind of for profit broadcasting, please contact us to work something out.
